The team from Northern Ontario of, Skip: Ron Rosengren, Third: Randy Fossum, Second: Dave Scholz, Lead: Roger McCarville.  They defeated the team from Nova Scotia of, Skip: Brent MacDougall, Third: Kris Tynski, Second: Joe MacDonald and Lead: Robert Kingsbury in the final by a score of 8-4.  In fact the two teams met in the final game of the round robin as well as the 1-2 page playoff game with Northern Ontario coming out on top of each game!  After a slow 0-2 start on the first day, Northern Ontario came back with eleven straight wins to capture the National Title.  

    At the banquet later in the day awards for All-Star team, Sportsmanlike team and induction into the Postal Curling Hall of Fame were given out.  The All-Stars as voted by the players were Skip: Ron Rosengren, Third: Gil Maynard, Second: Joe MacDonald, Lead: Roger McCarville.  The most Sportsmanlike team as voted by the players was Team New Brunswick, Chris O'Hara, Ken McCracken, Jake Healey, and Danny (Danielle) the BLUE CYCLONE Wall!!!  The Hall of Fame inductee this year was Karen MacDonald from P.E.I.  Karen is not only a curler but has volunteered her time as Provincial co-ordinator as well as on the National Executive for many years!!  Well deserved, way to go Karen!
